Cold Plunge Thoughts So yesterday I did a phone fast.

What's a phone fast? Well, it's where I don't use my phone or any other devices throughout the day.

Saturday night, I put my phone away in my drawer and didn't take it out until

I went to bed and only to charge it on Sunday night.

So, why did I do this? Well, number one, I just have felt recently like I'm

kind of addicted to my phone, and I wanted to change that.

So I started making some changes.

That's one thing. There are some other things that I'll talk about probably

another time, but that was the big one of just putting my phone away for the whole entire day.

I felt like I was more present, more connected with my family,

and was doing just better overall.

One of the things I noticed is that I was wanting to grab my phone for these

little things here and there.

And that's definitely part of that addiction, right?

That I'm feeling like I need it more than I actually do.

So another piece that was interesting is that I found myself thinking about

the people that I interact with online more than I feel like I probably should have.

Like I wondered what so-and-so was thinking about this particular thing that

was happening that day or something like that.

What were people saying about the playoff games that were happening?

I did watch those, by the way, but I didn't tweet during it or get into any

of my other groups during that.

So what's my takeaway from this? My biggest takeaway so far is I use my technology for work a lot.

And how do I balance using it for work and then putting it away when I'm done?

And it seems silly that as a grown man, I have to worry about this,

but I definitely do. So that's my big takeaway.

How's it going to go? We'll see.
